kind of realizing i don't have a favorite anime. slayers was good from the little i watched but the most passionate i was for an anime was sakugan which tanked hard come the second half.

@Mopatop121 i guess another way to describe it is that the fiction itself should be able to stand on its own as a solidly written work with the biggening being a vehicle to drive the work further.

@Mopatop121 if the execution is basic in structure (similar length sentences, repetitive word choices) it feels like the idea can better be executed if fleshed out more. for existing characters, they should be in character even with additional heft.
