What a week! We had a great time creating our own gingerbread characters after reading a few gingerbread stories, learning some square dancing moves, rocking out to the Nutcracker Suite in music, and celebrating another Star of the Week! @mdhippos@FCCPS#WhereDoesTheTimeGo
Thank you @mrs_guimaraes for an amazing first grade performance at the Halloween Festival! You always but on a fun and joyous community show! @mdhippos@FCCPS
It’s always fun having a special guest from MEH! After reading a book she liked in first grade, Caroline played many rounds of hide-and-seek during recess. She was a bit tall for some of the hiding spots. @mdhippos@mehms@FCCPS
Thank you Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department for talking to our first graders about fire safety and teaching us what an EMT does on the job. @mdhippos@FCCPS
September was National Yoga Month. Each morning during Morning Meeting, we spent a little time practicing yoga. We learned new breathing techniques, focused on body awareness, and enjoyed every second of it. @mdhippos@FCCPS#selfmanagementskills#SELintheClassroom
We celebrated another month of good citizenship and learning with a pajama/stuffy party! I am so proud of all the hard work these kids have put in this year. @mdhippos
