I am going to have to remember this in the future so I’ll retweet it so I can remember where I saved it! I really appreciated the fact that the first step for a teacher is to make sure the student is safe rather than punishments. #EDTC300#listen#talkwiththem
Lots of people believe teachers go to school at 8:30am and are done by 4pm everyday. Nothing could be further from the truth. #EDTC300#hardwork#onallthetime
Goodbye, raised hands. Hello, thumbs up—a participation strategy that enables *all* students to join the conversation, not just the fastest or most vocal ones. 👍🏾 #HowLearningHappens
Failing isn't the end of the world. If someone fails, they just don't understand the subject material yet. This is their first attempt in learning! I haven't heard of the other acronyms however I love the idea! #EDTC300#mindset#changehowyouthink
I need to wake up on Mondays with this attitude! I love the idea of giving Mondays a better connotation. My class and I will need to learn together! #EDTC300#Mondays#Mindset
I’ve been working on a lesson to teach students how to calm down when they feel stressed. These are some great ideas I should include! #EDTC300#destress#grade4
This could be a great source for older students while doing research and finding biases. This would also be a great idea to put up in a younger classroom to limit tattling. #EDTC300#thinkitthrough#Reflect
WHAT!!! This is such a great idea! Imagine having all your video sources in one place. When I was growing up we always used a DVD and there was always a substitute teacher who didn't know how to work it but imagine all videos in one spot. #EDTC300#Greatidea#SHOCKED

When I was in high school I had a teacher who refused to use any technology when teaching and it was a struggle for many EAL students. #EDTC300#breakoutofyourcomfortzone#helpyourstudents

I love the idea of teaching the teacher. This gives students the opportunity to share their knowledge and feel heard in the classroom! #EDTC300#teachtheteacher#opportunities

When I was younger I watched a show called Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide on Nickelodeon so the idea of a school survival book sounds so helpful for students. I love the other ideas as well! #EDTC300#SchoolSurvivalGuide#learnfromothers

I could definitely use these in the classroom. I think the three to flee idea would be helpful in university! The what do you not understand idea would help those who are often not vocal in class. #EDTC300#useful#3toflee
Far too often middle and high school students are only *passively* listening to what’s being said in class. Find out how to get them to *actively* listen instead.

It is so important for our students to feel heard in the classroom! When they see themselves represented in classroom it can build their success and desire to be at school. #EDTC300#representation#hearthemout
@tmckinnonnn I agree with you 100%. Scare tactics might work for some students but not all. However informing students will help them be prepared for the challenges they might face!
