I’d been an alcoholic and suffered depression and anxiety for over 25 years.

If Medicaid is defunded and the nursing homes empty, guess who will end up having to quit their jobs to feed and change the bedpans for their ailing parents? Mostly women, that's who.

Also: Who holds most of the jobs at nursing homes? Women. They'll lose their jobs.

This is a feature, not a bug, for the Project 2025 people. Chasing women out of the paid workforce is a part of what is supposed to make America "great" again. In their opinion we were born to toil uncompensated.

Women already make up almost 60% of unpaid caregivers and over 80% of paid in-home caregivers for seniors.
