Home languages are such so deeply connected to our sense of identity, belonging and ultimately a fundamental right!

Take that away from children (and staff!) and don’t be surprised if they perform poorly and they seem “uninterested” in learning.

It might seem silly, but I remembered how all my 4 years of uni I never learnt how to photocopy booklets double-sided with staples!
I may or may not have shed a tear of frustration over this.
