For everyone that says 7oh binds to MOR 14-22xs stronger than morphine, science proves otherwise. It actually binds 14-22xs less than morphine. Link to the study here: https://t.co/tJ3zfHQ34T
Read the LTE in @NYDailyNews Consumers deserve safe products and strong protections for minors. But S.8925-A/A.9156-B would remove many 7-OH products from the market despite no evidence that responsible adult use has created a public health crisis in NY.

NIH even in their announcement stated "While the kratom plant contains many compounds known to interact with opioid receptors, research indicates that its potential therapeutic effects are likely driven by the slow conversion of mitragynine in the body"

It seems like the 7-OH bans (and to a lesser extent kratom bans) are just clearing the competition for this new mitragynine kratom alkaloid pharmaceutical drug.

@etoad420@bdank88@ZZCupp01 It's not synthetic and it's not an opiate. 7oh is a natural alkaloid. It's in the kratom leaf, it's a metabolite of mitragynine in kratom and even if it's made from mitragynine extract it's still the same molecule. It's a partial agonist and doesn't cause respiratory depression
@NickWickClips You just happened to have an unopened package of 7oh on your desk and you took one without researching what you were taking🤔 Luckily for you 7oh is very safe. It's meant for people with severe pain or as a harm reduction tool for people trying to get off dangerous substances.
"NY legislators shouldn’t take away kratom-derived products from responsible users." Read how everyday responsible adults are using 7-OH to get their life back. Legislators shouldn't ban, they should regulate. https://t.co/CUMsJBO6MJ
🚨 NEW YORK ACTION ALERT 🚨
S8925-A/A9156-B would effectively ban most 7-OH products in New York.
We need EVERY advocate to speak up NOW in support of responsible regulation over prohibition.

Veteran: That kind of top-down system may be necessary in war. But it makes far less sense here at home. Yet that’s what is happening with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.

I get the concerns but coming from an opiate addict for over 20 yrs these “sinister” 7-OH tablets have changed my life. They have kept me off of fentanyl for over a year I take them daily and function very normally go to work and run a business. I don’t think a lot of people truly understand that there are limited options for opiate addicts when it comes to this situation. I’ve been to rehabs and EVERY SINGLE TIME they force either suboxone or methadone on you which is just another “crutch” that you have to depend on taking every day and is regulated by doctors and involves going to take drug screens multiple times a week in some cases. These 7-OH tablets do not get me “high” they give me energy and make me feel great as far as alertness and focus. Kratom is not “sinister” at all it’s actually very helpful in curbing opiate withdrawal and/or replacing fentanyl or heroin use. It’s a subject that I feel needs much more discussion and possibly regulatory guidelines maybe not be sold in gas stations but definitely not labeled “sinister” these tablets do ALOT of good for ALOT of people and like with alcohol or marijuana there is always the risk of abuse and there will be people abusing its use. I honestly have told as many people I can about them who are addicted to fentanyl and heroin and tell them how much these have saved my life. I honestly believe they are a threat to big pharma and suboxone makers and why they are being labeled as “sinister”. Lots of people will resort to going back to fentanyl if they lose access to kratom and that’s just a simple fact. No one will ever convince me that taking suboxone or methadone is “better” then taking kratom. I knew this day would come sooner or later and I think everyone should look at the upside of what kratom does and why it’s not even an option for opiate addicts when it comes to doctors and rehabs it has been used in Asia for centuries and I’ve NEVER heard of ANYONE overdosing on these “sinister” tablets
