John Hunyadi is an utterly fascinating character in medieval history.
He was a leading military figure for the Hungarians and even served as regent of the Kingdom of Hungary for 7 years.
He adopted military wagons from the Hussites, spent much of his time in border lands of the kingdom fighting the Ottoman invaders of Europe and won many decisive victories against their armies.
John earned the nickname "Turk-buster" from his contemporaries.
