As I was leaving work yesterday a beloved library patron gave me some gorgeous purple hydrangeas from her garden.

It was such a sweet gesture and really made me smile. They’re sitting in a vintage vase in my entryway now. 🪻💕

Had a work employee appreciation BBQ luncheon today. I received a nice plaque and $50 check for my 10 years.

Photos were taken and posted on the City’s socials. I dislike that I feel (and care!) so much over how unflattering my award photos are.

The weather is beautiful out so I drove with my windows down on the commute home. Some dude in a cowboy hat, who also had his windows down, felt compelled to shout at me “you’re gorgeous” at a red light from the next lane over.

Got approved for a $0.80 raise at work this July. It’s not at all a significant increase considering I’ve been with the company for 11 years this September and I’ll still be paycheck to paycheck….but hey,it’s something!
