Here are the 10 most commonly asked interview questions - and how to respond to each so you stand out & get the offer:
Number 1: "What is your biggest failure?"
🧵 with advice on all 10:
There is a difference between moving fast and rushing.
You can move fast and be thoughtful. When you rush, you sacrifice thoughtfulness.
Conversely, when you are thoughtful but not moving fast, you are overthinking it. Procrastination in disguise.
Don’t rush, but don’t wait.
Emotionally healthy people say no on a regular basis. They value their time and energy. They understand that their role in life isn't to please other adults, it's to be responsible for taking care of themselves.
All successful relationships (of any kind) have reciprocity.
Reciprocity is mutual feeling of support and being valued.
It looks like:
1. Mutual meeting of needs
2. Freedom to self express
3. Lack of score keeping
4. Ability to self reflect
5. Ability to take in another person's perspective
6. Predictable behavior (words align with actions)
7. Space and freedom is given as needed
Practice telling the full truth of how you feel even when you cringe, even when you’re uncomfortable. Make honesty your core value, no matter what. Attracting honest people into your life requires you to do the same— even when it doesn’t feel good.
Cutting someone out of your life and choosing yourself and your sanity is one of the most difficult experiences a person can go through in life. You're never the same after because you know how different life is when you protect your peace.
We don’t grow by avoiding things that trigger us or things that bring out our insecurities. We grow by practicing Self witnessing. When triggered ask: what do I believe is true about myself right now? Why is shame coming up for me around this? Get curious.
