@FPLCiaran Yeah there has been some success and obviously that’s fantastic and has been enjoyable. But United have become a laughing stock, a joke in the transfer market recently. Someone who cared about the club would ensure the betterment of the club, not just adding to their own pockets
@FPLCiaran I understand these are nice problems to have compared to other clubs but it’s just so frustrating because everything is there but it’s just being done so so badly and there’s no progress
@FPLCiaran If they genuinely cared about the club, they’d hire people who can make footballing decisions, not run the club as a business for their own profit. An investment in improving facilities, smarter transfer system and they’d be back at the top of Europe
@FPLCiaran I only mentioned the fan base thing because that’s why they can afford £150m a season on players. It’s nothing to do with rich owners. It’s from previous success. They’re willing to spend money and silly wages because it’s the club’s money, not theirs
@FPLCiaran The simple fact is, United are arguably the biggest club in the world in terms of fan base. They should have everything they need to be up with City and Madrid, but the shambolic running of the club means they’re going backwards, not forwards
@FPLCiaran @StretfordPaddck Just to clarify, the stadium is falling apart and the training facilities haven’t been updated in 20-odd years. Even Ronaldo said everything was the same when he returned. Also, I didn’t say they don’t matter so don’t put words in my mouth. I said it’s mismanagement of that money
I’m fully aware that teams can have a bad season etc but it’s just the sheer ineptitude of those in positions of power and transfer dealings that is shocking. They’re willing to spend money and they do it so badly, it’s painful
@FPLCiaran @StretfordPaddck All anyone wants is owners who actually care about the club. Any money that’s been used for transfers has been generated by the club and the Glazers have also used that money to pay themselves. There’s been no investment from them to improve the stadium, training facilities etc
Brilliant first test. Do I understand it? Not completely. Still, cannot wait for the second test.
Never ever thought I’d say that or be excited for cricket #Ashes23
Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy is a flawless trilogy. The Dark Knight Rises gets too much criticism. It’s class. Second best trilogy after Lord of the Rings. Indisputable.
I ordered a taxi to a hotel (which is near the area I knew I needed to go), so when I got in the taxi, the driver asked me (in Cantonese) if it was the right taxi, thinking I was a foreigner going home. His reaction, when I replied in Chinese was perfect #IUnderstoodMate
