@FeminaStudiosa Absolutely this. I took a long time learning it, but my life is so much better since I stopped trying to measure up to the entirety female pressure in the culture to be "extra". I think of it as giving others permission to relax too.

@KirkLubimov I think that's the reason QEII didn't make a habit of hopping a jet over here to make throne speeches. The governor general is the Crown's symbolic mouthpiece in a system that doesn't actually consult the Crown. It's not dignified for the actual monarch to take up this role.

@Martyupnorth_2 I have some older relatives who've cancelled their plans to drive down to the US this summer because of fear they'll be hassled and/or detained at the border. A carload of seniors, Canadian citizens, no criminal records. The media has done a number on them.
