Day 27 (29/05/2026). Bon Voyage #London bro and I had a wonderful time. We got the chance to enjoy your pre-summer heat wave. Also, I have learned the Oyster travel card does not work beyond a certain zone. Paper tickets are required for transit. #UK
Day 26 (28/05/2026). Coach to #Brighton was cheaper that’s for sure. Preston garden had roses in bloom. A few tent based events near churches. Zipliner! The pier & esplanade was by far the busiest. Pebble beach folks! Deck chairs on pier = free. Deck chairs on beach = hire. #UK
Day 25 (27/05/2026). Sunny #London who would have thought? Took a coach to majestic #Stonehenge I can see Y it is a bucket list destination. Grand Union Canal walkway was chockers. Our visit to the Harry Potter Shop and Platform 9¾ was a blast, filled w laughter n fun!
Day 24 (26/05/2026). Adieu #Scotland Thanks for the sweet memories, rain and sun. We learnt a great deal about the past thru your fabulous storytellers. Highland produce was delicious - whiskey fudge, seafood, and chocolates. We specially enjoyed Water of Leith trail and gems.
Day 23 (25/05/2026). Brunch at Rose St Cafe. Tour of #Edinburgh Castle (3rd party). A few buildings were open. Lots of war ephemera. Tasted whiskey liqueur. St Giles Cathedral had decorated rooms (Thistle Chapel - closed). Scottish Whiskey Exp shop had a UX unit w brands origin.
Day 22 (24/05/2026). Sun came out for #Edinburgh. A marathon was ON. Saw 1 dino + 1 knight. Edinburgh Dungeon exp was exhilarating + fun. National Galley of Scotland had great tapestry n art. Dean Village n garden was relaxing for a night walk. 1/2 pot of mussels for dinner.
Day 21 (23/05/2026). Back in #Edinburgh we went to Leith market, walked along the royal mile n tasted fudge, ordered a whiskey flight at roof bar of Johnnie Walker building, stroll thru Princes Park, and joined a guided tour at the Scottish Parliament in the arvo - what a mace!
Day 20 (22/05/2026). We went on a walking tour around #Glasgow. We learnt unicorn is Scotland’s national animal; Saint Mungo + his 3 miracles; murals, new one, a replaced one, rebel bear 1s; walls, 2 ex-shrines, 1 w bullet holes, 1 w row of round hooks to lock prisoner’s ears.
Day 20 (21/05/2026). Buh bye Portree. Pit stop - River Sligachan - submerge face 7s for beauty (+rain). Chocolates of Glenshiel for dark hot chocolate. More views of glens on way back. Pit stop - Laggan dam. Pat 1 highland cow at Taste of Perthshire. #Highland#Scotland
Day 19 (20/05/2026). Dunvegan castle - oldest fairy flag + dungeon. Fairy bridge (tale). Castle Ewen easy climbing trails. Kilmuir has burial of Flora McDonald and Lee Alexander McQueen. Cuith-Raing has steep valley views. Sheep’s stop traffic here. #Highland#Scotland
Day 18 (19/05/2026). Drove past Stirling Castle. Quickie pickle at The Three Sisters of Glencoe (snow). Pit stop at Fort Williams n saw Ben Nevis + nearby 1s. Stopped at Eileen Donna Castle (tide out). Dinner in Portree. Haggis bon bon at The Royal Hotel. #Highland#Scotland
Day 17 (18/05/2026). Painted Rooster had vegan haggis & co. Found inspired “Tom Riddell n gang” in Greyfriars Cemetery. National Museum of #Scotland - Mary, Queen of Scots n roof top view - wow. Dinner at Street Burger Gordon Ramsay. Spotted Paddington Bear in St Andrew Sq Gdn.
Day 16 (17/05/2026). We flew into #Edinburgh n dashed off to the Stockbridge market. We followed part of Water of Leith walkway to Newhaven. We saw ducks with unique patterns. I heard them say
"oh" when food was thrown at them. Suss craft beer taprooms in South Leith #Scotland
Day 15 (16/05/2026). Off to a cold #Howth boat tour to view birds on cliffs. Holy Molly! Puffin was in the bay & I missed the shot (due to wrong side of boat). We had fried scampi n Guinness. Returned to #Dublin for inspiration at IMMA and they have an underground cafe! Wowza.
Day 13 (14/05/2026). Suss’d out the rooms of #Kilkenny castle, pat a cat, and had a raspberry scone from Tess bakery. Saw bog bodies n medieval gold in National Museum of #Ireland. I played “spoons” & “drums” at Taylors Three Rock (cabaret + dinner) - bloody worth it! #Dublin
Day 12 (13/05/2026). Dang. Cruise ship buses got to The #BlarneyCastle 1st. Q long + rain = yeah nah. I got a tree of life scarf n Bunratty Mead from Blarney Woollen Mill. #Waterford Crystal tour was insightful. Town had medieval bits. #finally saw a rainbow in #Tramore#Ireland
Day 11 (12/05/2026). HQ in #Killarney. Scoured around Ring of Kerry from Charlie Chaplin fave place to Scariff Inn w the best view in #Ireland, a jaunt car ride in partial section of Killarney national park to Ross Castle. Bro n I had single malt “whiskey flight” (paddle).
Day 10 (11/05/2026). Adare town. Quaint little town. Nice garden and natural playground. Dingle. Lovely fish n chips n ice creams. Angel (cat) was a gr8 model. Fungie the dolphin only in sculpture form. Inch Strand (beach). Resting up in Killarney. #Ireland
Day 9 (10/05/2026). Morning stroll thru #Galway town and Sunday markets. Drove past ruins upon ruins. Chiff of Moher - more ppl than birds. Free buggy. 4D exp in visitor centre (built into the cliff). Banquet dinner Bunratty Castle w gr8 performers + jugs of red n white wine.
