And for the last of my weather related posts - I decided to take a look at the length of all the previous Rideau Canal skating seasons.

Here we can see that this past winter was a fairly long season of 72 days (ranked 9/49 previous seasons!)

On the flip side, 2 of the 3 shortest seasons came in the past 4 years.

And here is another look - same data, just another way of looking at it. I think this better shows that this past winter was colder than the ones before it on average. Hoping for less blue next year!
