Update on the Jupiter Walstad bowl:

The water has cleared up, and the plants are starting to grow in! I added a few more different plants, and I found a hitchhiker Bladder Snail!

As long as the snails don’t overpopulate the bowl, they get to stay in for now! :]

Digital art, and I have been VERY slowly building the confidence to relearn art fundamentals and teaching myself to not force art during a bad burnout.

One of these days I will start doing art more frequently again, and instead of comparing myself to others, it will be for me.

I haven't really drawn much in a long time, and it has slowly been eating away at me. I never realized how much a high-stress job can impact my desire to make art, especially while battling pretty severe burnout + depression over the past 5 years.

I have found that making physical things has been very satisfying for me as well. After teaching myself how to crochet, getting back into aquascaping, and even doing a bit of landscaping work recently, it's been very fulfilling for me.

I’ve still got to put a black film on the back of the tank to hide the wires, turn on the oxygen bubbler, as well as find a way to put the foam mat underneath of it (because I forgot to do so) but the tank is doing great so far!

It’s also got automated timers on everything too!

Life’s been hectic recently, ngl haha.

I lost my job last week, but instead of being sad about it, I’ve gotten back into my aquascaping hobby. It’s very calming, and there’s something about creating an ecosystem that makes it very satisfying for me.

This is technically my third tank I’ve ever done, and my first attempt at a high-tech tank, and it’s going well so far! It’s going through its first bacterial bloom, which is why the water is so cloudy atm!
