Excited to share the 3rd first-author paper from my PhD! This was a collaborative effort from @JimJohnsonSci@nictitate@WyWyWa labs. A big thank you to everyone who participate and to CIHR and Breakthrough T1D Centre of Excellence at UBC for funding!

Donations are pouring into a Vancouver warehouse for those affected by Monday's devastating earthquake in Turkey, but a volunteer organizer says the country could most benefit from professional search and rescue teams. https://t.co/qseBRkpcVB
I don't have anyone affected in the region (as far as I know) but still cannot function at all..
It's a combination of grief, extreme sadness, frustration, anger, restlessness, something like a survivor's guilt maybe?, hopelessness, helplessness, horror, anxiety...
In light of internet censorship, following the devastating earthquake, we have made the decision to add Turkey to our bandwidth program.
Anyone connecting from Turkey will have 10GB of data added to their account.
#GradStudents are arguably *the* primary producers of #research output at Canadian universities, and core contributors to the #teaching and #leadership missions of their institutions.

Russian people != Russian government.
I am half Ukrainian. I love my Ukrainian friends and family members. Ukraine is a beautiful and great country. This all should stop.
My most recent work is available on biorxiv! It is a big collaborative effort between the @nictitate and @WyWyWa labs on the optimization of existing protocols for definitive endoderm (DE) differentiation from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs).

Nicely described by @NovakovskyG in following re-tweetorial. Replaced Activin A for cell differentiation. Tour de force w/ public data; identified, tested and characterized inducers
