At this critical moment in history, as Ethiopia prepares for its historic and momentous National Dialogue, I have an important and solemn appeal to all my fellow Ethiopians.

The beginning of tomorrow’s dialogue process is not merely an ordinary political forum. It is also the beginning of a new chapter in our history and one that will determine the destiny of both our generation and those to come, as well as our shared hopes for the future.

To all of you who are committed to securing lasting peace, stability, and comprehensive prosperity for our country, and who care deeply about Ethiopia’s greatness: the opportunity is here, and the time is now.

Just as our forefathers and foremothers fought at the Battle of Adwa with their blood and their lives for the freedom, sovereignty, and honor of our nation, today Ethiopia once again calls upon her sons and daughters who are ready to shoulder the responsibility entrusted to them by history. Yet in this moment, our country does not seek those who bear rifles. Rather, it seeks champions of peace and people equipped with maturity of thought, truth, knowledge, and steadfast determination.

Today, as in the past, we stand on the eve of the beginning of a great victory, because the triumph of Ethiopia and her peoples is inevitable. Through civilized discourse, peaceful dialogue, and national consensus, we will overcome all the challenges before us and, together, advance toward prosperity.

لقد فقدت قطر وإفريقيا أحد القادة الحكماء الذين كرسوا جهودهم لتعزيز السلام، ووضع أسس للحوار والتفاوض، وأسهموا في معالجة النزاعات، ولا سيما في منطقة القرن الأفريقي

ويحتفظ الشعب الإثيوبي بذكرى طيبة للأمير الراحل، الذي أولى إثيوبيا اهتماما خاصا، وكان يؤمن بأهمية بناء شراكة استراتيجية معها
كما كان الأمير الوالد يؤكد دائما على المكانة التاريخية للحبشة في الوجدان الإسلامي، ويشير أن العلاقات مع إثيوبيا ليست وليدة الحاضر، بل تمتد جذورها إلى بدايات التاريخ الإسلامي، منذ الهجرة الأولى إلى أرض الحبشة، بما يجسد عمق الروابط التاريخية والإنسانية التي تجمع الشعبين

وقد شكلت زيارته الرسمية إلى إثيوبيا في شهر أبريل 2013 محطة مهمة في مسار العلاقات الثنائية، وأسهمت في إرساء أسس شراكة حقيقية بين البلدين، تُوجت بعدد من اتفاقيات التعاون، وفتحت آفاقا واسعة لتعزيز العلاقات بين قطر وإثيوبيا، وبين قطر والدول الأفريقية عموما

كما جاءت الزيارة التي قام بها حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني إلى إثيوبيا في أبريل 2017 استكمالا للمسار الذي أرساه الأمير الوالد، وأسهمت في تفعيل ما تم الاتفاق عليه خلال زيارته، بما عزز التعاون والشراكة بين البلدين

إن رحيل الأمير الوالد يمثل خسارة كبيرة، لكننا على ثقة بأن العلاقات الأخوية والتاريخية التي أرسى دعائمها بين إثيوبيا وقطر، ستواصل نموها وازدهارها في ظل قيادة حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، بما يعز�� الشراكة مع القارة الأفريقية، ويخدم مصالح البلدين والشعبين الصديقين

ETHIOPIA KEEPS DELIVERING!

Today, we inaugurated the Arba Minch Conference Resort, another magnificent outcome of our 'Dine for Generation' initiative. This modern resort features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a conference hall capable of hosting over 1,300 people and a unique floating restaurant on the lake. It will strengthen our vision of making Ethiopia a hub for international forums by expanding conference tourism beyond our capital city, while creating vast employment opportunities for local residents.

I call upon all our citizens, the diaspora, and the international community to visit and experience this new jewel of our nation, and to take part in this new chapter of Ethiopia's tourism and conference sector!

It is an honour to stand today at the 𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗔 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 national summit held under the theme "From Reform to Lasting Change," I reflected on the journey that has brought us to this moment, a nation that has continuously risen, built the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam with its own hands. These are not chances. They are the results of deliberate choices, anchored in the spirit of Medemer, the conviction that lasting change is built through coming together.

Our reforms are not an end in themselves; they are the foundation we lay for the generations that will come after us. For nation building is a collective work that does not conclude with any single generation, and with that conviction, I call on every Ethiopian to carry this spirit forward, to receive what we have built, and to rise higher still!
