Today I’m looking at the 1964 branded LA Kush Cake flower from Rubicon. This was bought from Mendo.

This is a balanced hybrid cross of Wedding Cake and Kush Mints.

My quarter was made up of exactly 7 buds, all looking so similar, it was tough to pick one to photograph.

Here to remind you that Indica and Sativa distinctions do not matter in 2025. Sure, they’re relevant in terms of plant structure, but as for effects, your individual experience is too nuanced and relies on too many factors to claim it is directly correlated to “indica” or “sativa” highs.

So experiment. Find a strain that works for you. Don’t just go into a shop asking for “an indica with the highest THC%,” because chances are, you’re gonna get some BS (likely old and dry). Know how certain genetics affect you and target the freshest batches.
