We stopped by the Belle Haven Community Campus for our first Cops & Camps! This new initiative is designed to strengthen relationships between our officers and youth participating in the City’s summer camps. During these visits, officers will lead short, engaging sessions on age appropriate topics, answer questions, and build positive connections with the kids. Can't wait to do it again 😍🤩🥳 #MPPD #MenloPark #SummerCamp #BHCC #BelleHaven #Community #Fun
This week we did some cross training on building search and entry tactics with our neighbors at East Palo Alto Police. Joint training allows us to be prepared for future operations where we work with East Palo Alto PD 💙🩵 #MPPD#MenloPark#Training#GoodNeighbors
We are reinstating the Alarm Response Program, effective July 1, to improve emergency response efficiency, reduce false alarm calls, and ensure accurate contact information during real emergencies. As part of this reinstatement, all residential and commercial alarm systems must be registered annually, beginning July 1 and renewing each fiscal year. The City is partnering with Turbo Data to provide fast, easy online registration and payments.
Key dates:
• July 1- Alarm registration required
• Aug. 1- Updated false alarm response fees begin
Help us keep Menlo Park safe and ensure responders have accurate information when it matters most. Learn more at https://t.co/5gpyU9jzfq #MPPD #MenloPark #Alarms #Safety #AlarmResponseProgram
Menlo Park City Council recognized June 5 as National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Commander Dixon and several MPPD staff accepted the official proclamation at the May 19 council meeting. The first Friday in June is observed as National Gun Violence Awareness Day in tribute to Hadiya Pendleton, who was tragically shot and killed at age 15 in January 2013, other victims of gun violence and their loved ones. Join us in continuing to honor those whose lives are cut short each year by gun violence, and the countless survivors whose lives are forever altered #MPPD #MenloPark #NationalGunViolenceAwarenessDay #Safety #Proclamation
Attention, #MenloPark! This Sunday, June 7, prepare for road closures from 7 a.m.–noon during the Menlo Park Kids Triathlon, which will take place from 8–11 a.m.
