The new App Planning Phase feature in Pi App Studio allows creators to develop their ideas with the help of AI before App Studio generates the app.
For example, App Studio may ask for more detail about the app’s:
- Main idea
- Goal
- Design
- User experience
This helps guide creators from an initial idea toward a more complete app concept in a more interactive and dynamic way.
Watch the video walkthrough to learn how the planning process works!
I feel a strong sense of responsibility toward the Pi Network community because I have been one of its main advocates over the years.
We will give the Pi Core Team @PiCoreTeam until the end of August to deliver significant progress on Pi Network.
As I have said before, what the Pi Core Team @PiCoreTeam has achieved so far feels like 2 years worth of work stretched over 7 years.
The Pi community deserves clear answers on the following:
1. Updated Whitepaper and Roadmap
There is still no clear timeline. The community is tired of guessing Pi Network’s goals, direction, and long-term vision.
2. Clear Tokenomics Explanation
The circulating supply is around 11 billion Pi, with an effective total supply of around 17 billion Pi. The current price is around $0.098, while close to 83 billion Pi remains.
What is the plan for this large remaining supply? What burn mechanisms will be introduced?
3. Blockchain Protocol Upgrade to V26
The V26 upgrade was expected in mid-June. We are now in July, yet Pi Network is still stuck on Version 24. Why the delay?
4. The Promised 100 DApps
The Pi Core Team promised 100 DApps by 2024. Two years later, we only have a few community DApps and no serious, highly engaging ecosystem. Where are the promised 100 DApps?
5. Community DApp Funding and Support
Over the past 7 years, the majority of the Pi Network community has gained very little from Pi Network.
Where is the funding for community DApps? Where is the influencer programme? I have not heard of a single community member receiving meaningful support to build DApps.
Instead, I have heard many stories from Pi Network DApp builders who abandoned their projects because they could no longer cover operational costs.
So where is the promised $100 million fund going?
The Pi Network community is one of the most dedicated and loyal communities in crypto. Yet the Pi Core Team continues to treat the community like a liability instead of its greatest asset.
The community deserves answers and solid progress from the Pi Core Team by the end of August.
Share this post and tag the Pi Core Team. If this goes viral, it can attract media attention. If it attracts media attention, the Core Team may finally wake up from their comfort zone and deliver.

Pi App Studio backend support has been enabled!
Backend capabilities begin with persistent storage for newly created App Studio apps, allowing apps to save and retrieve user-specific data across sessions.
Creators can now build App Studio apps with user experiences that continue even after users leave and return.
For example:
- Game apps can remember a user’s high scores
- Productivity apps can remember a user’s to-do lists
- Note-taking apps can preserve notes automatically
Before, Pi App Studio apps were largely limited to frontend-only, single-session experiences, where app data such as preferences or progress would disappear if users left the app.
Adding backend support is a significant App Studio platform milestone because it expands what AI-created apps can practically do on Pi Network. Persistent storage is the first capability built on this foundation, enabling a broader range of useful, everyday applications.

Pi App Studio has released two updates to help creators build more engaging and useful app experiences.
1. Backend support enables persistent user experiences for newly created App Studio apps: Apps can save and retrieve user-specific data across sessions, enabling experiences that continue even after users leave and return.
2. AI-assisted App Planning Phase: Creators can develop their ideas with the help of AI before App Studio generates the app. This helps guide creators from an initial idea toward a more complete app concept in a more interactive and dynamic way.

Pi2Day 2026 reflects how Pi’s utility continues to grow through infrastructure and participation.
- Through SoloHost, Pi Desktop and Nodes can support new local AI app and compute use cases
- Pi Sign-in can help connect those experiences across users, devices, and services
- PiVerify can extend Pi’s real-human verification capabilities to third-party clients.
Together, these releases point to a broader direction for the ecosystem: Pi products are built both for the Pi ecosystem and to extend Pi services and resources to the external world. This, in turn, enriches and strengthens the Pi ecosystem.
Pi’s practical utility is built not only by product releases but by the Pioneers, Node operators, developers, KYC validators, app teams, merchants, and third-party services that use them, test them, and build on them.

The three key Pi2Day 2026 releases extend Pi’s services to businesses and developers outside the Pi ecosystem, while inviting them to join Pi Network and take advantage of Pi’s unique benefits and resources.

SoloHost expands the utility of Pi Nodes beyond just blockchain validation.
Released in Beta on Pi2Day 2026, SoloHost on Pi Desktop gives Pioneers new ways to use their computers to run local apps, AI utilities, distributed computing, and other compute-based use cases.
Pioneers can also remotely engage with the corresponding app through mobile devices on Pi Browser.
SoloHost also lets developers build and list these local apps through an open, permissionless framework to reach the over 420,000 Pi Node operators who are already running Pi Desktop.
Local is key. With SoloHost streamlining access to local applications through Pi Desktop, people can benefit from AI while keeping their data on their own devices, not third-party remote servers.
This means:
- More privacy.
- More control.
- Less reliance on cloud services

Pi Sign-in allows supported third-party websites and apps to offer Pi accounts as a sign-in or sign-up option.
It helps provide the infrastructure that allows applications and services to recognize, connect, and serve users across and outside the ecosystem.
This means Pioneers can access supported services with their Pi account instead of creating a new account or password for every app.
Why would third-party services or websites want to integrate Pi Sign-in? Pi Sign-in creates a simpler way to connect them with Pi’s large user base and bring Pi users into their own product experiences. It also gives Pi more presence in third-party contexts while offering a way to tap into the additional benefits and resources of Pi Network, besides user traffic.

PiVerify is a KYC identity verification service available to third-party companies, making Pi’s real-human verification capabilities available outside the Pi ecosystem.
With PiVerify, external platforms can verify their users, reduce fake or duplicate accounts, and support compliance-related identity workflows.
For businesses and platforms, the need is straightforward: many digital services need to know whether users are real people. Verified identities are needed for any meaningful transactions, especially in real-world economies.
PiVerify services are also paid for in Pi, which increases Pi utility.
By making this infrastructure available to third parties, the Pi2Day 2026 PiVerify release extends the utility of Pi’s verified identity technology and resources beyond Pi’s own apps and services.

Doris Yin 2026 Pi2Day Speech Part 2
If everyone sells all of their Pi after migration, the price will go down because there will be too much supply. At the same time, other pioneers or people outside the community will not buy because they don't trust us. Why don't they trust us? Because they see so much fake news and misleading information inside our own community.
So how can we change this?
Very simple. We stop spreading fake news. We stop spreading misleading information. We don't forward it anymore.
Instead, focus on studying the White Paper. Read the first ten pages. Read them ten times. If you don't want to read the White Paper, you can read my Pioneer's Handbook. It is free. It is a soft copy that you can read anytime. It helps you understand why there is GCV and why pioneers can make this happen.
Another thing is that many pioneers keep expecting the Core Team to announce the value.
No, they won't announce it.
Because they have already given us the authority. Dr. Nicolas said that pioneers create the value.
So our task is very simple. We create the value. We advocate it. We promote GCV. We have already established GCV. Right now, we just need to pass this information to more pioneers.
The more pioneers who support it, the stronger the confidence becomes. When confidence grows, the value and the price can grow. When the price becomes stronger, merchants will have more confidence, and it will be much easier for Pi to be adopted in the normal business world.
Everything is connected.
So if you want your Pi to be migrated, you must help other pioneers. Help yourself by building trust in Pi Network and building trust in GCV. This is the only solution.
As I always say, the path is under our feet. It is not in the hands of the Core Team.
If you want to move faster, ask yourself to study the Pioneer's Handbook and pass this information to others.
We have many educational activities. You can repost articles to your groups. It doesn't cost you any money. It doesn't take much time. Just spend a few minutes a day. Read one article and share it. That's all. You can help make it happen.
I hope that today many pioneers can finally wake up.
Don't wait anymore.
Don't trust fake news anymore.
Don't spread fake news anymore.
Build yourself. Have a job. Support yourself and your family. Then, when you have time, read some educational articles and pass this information to the community.
If most pioneers can do this—I am not asking for 100%. Even 10% would be about seven million pioneers. If seven million pioneers can do this, I believe we can realize the Value Network much faster.
Because when the Value Network is realized, it means our ecosystem has matured. At that time, you will see the real value. You will see the results of all our efforts.
So don't ask me when the payoff will come. Don't ask the Core Team.
Because it is not their responsibility, and it is not my responsibility.
It is our responsibility as pioneers.
If you want that future, don't just dream anymore. Don't live in illusions anymore.
Face reality.
Keep your feet firmly on the ground. Work hard. Support your family. Build good relationships with your family. Then, when you have time, contribute by reposting educational information to groups so that we can reach our destination faster.
The technical foundation is already there. The Core Team has completed that part.
Now it is our turn.
I hope today everyone reflects on what you should do.
Never, never fall into the trap of fake news again.
If we can do this, then by the next Pi Day or the next Pi2Day, perhaps you will truly begin to see the results of our collective efforts.
Thank you very much.
Have a wonderful day.
Happy Pi2Day once again!

🚨 BREAKING: Pi Network founder Nicolas Kokkalis has highlighted the growing importance of local AI agents, arguing that running AI models on personal computers should be far easier for everyday users.
Kokkalis emphasized that while local AI offers major privacy benefits, deploying usable AI agents remains too complex for non-engineers.
