CDPH, @CDC and local partners are closely monitoring. People who interact with infected animals are at higher risk of contracting bird flu and should monitor their symptoms for 10 days after exposure. All cases have experienced mild symptoms
CDPH confirmed 4 human cases & 2 possible human cases of bird flu in CA among Central Valley individuals who had contact with infected dairy cattle. There is no known human-to-human spread & risk to the public remains low.
