@catespice I literally had to sign about 4 different release forms for an endoscopy, and they got verbal confirmation of the procedure before they put me under.
Doctors don't do surgery without being 100% sure.
So I'm trying to make sense of this decision (photographer can refuse to photograph same sex weddings) because it's logically inconsistent on two fronts.
One, it flies in the face of everything we know about standing.
Two, it contradicts Bostock (2020).
Gorsuch doesn't give a damn about abortion, he just wants to gut the administrative state.
And Roberts? Who knows. Maybe he went on a hunting trip or something.
Point being, the confusion is the point and we're screwed.
This isn't an ideological decision, it's a jurisdictional one. SCOTUS is setting the scene to outlaw medical abortions. And the only way they can do that is by creating a cause of action where none exists.
@jennelikejennay@andreagrimes I had 2% milk for the first time when I was about 12, after drinking nothing but skim my whole life. I thought it was the best thing I'd ever tasted.
Scene: the 90s
School Counselor: class, today we're going to learn about self-esteem. Self esteem is how you feel about yourself. Good self-esteem means you feel good about yourself. It's important to have good self-esteem.
Student: What if I have bad self-esteem?
SC: Use "I" statements. "I think," "I feel," "I want."
S: I told my bullies "I feel hurt when you say mean things to me" and now they're being even meaner.
SC: You're really playing the victim here. You should have better self-esteem.
S: Okay but HOW?
