Devastated by a brutal attack on a high school student in Owasso, OK. This was not a mere altercation but a #hatecrime, stemming directly from harmful rhetoric by Oklahoma's elected officials. The media must do better in reporting these truths and our elected officials must be held accountable for spreading hate. Words have devastating consequences.
Impeach Kevin Stitt.
Impeach Ryan Walters.
We deserve better than incompetent, negligent, crooked office holders who continuously put their political interest before Oklahomans.
We deserve actual leadership.
Five people were brutally murdered, including a child.
Two of those killed sacrificed themselves to save the lives of other children in the home.
And their Governor couldn’t even see fit to keep himself from trying to diminish their humanity.
That’s what white supremacists do.
Oklahoma teachers deserve a real raise.
Just to keep up with the pace of inflation since 2019, we would need to raise pay for 1st yr teachers by ~$6500.
Under the plan from Gov. Stitt & GOP legislators, first year teacher pay only increases by $2000.
Teachers deserve more.
The doors were locked.
The teachers were armed.
TN expanded firearm access.
The police arrived in minutes.
Covenant school had everything that MAGA GOP assured us prevents & stops mass shootings. And 3 babies & 3 adults were murdered in seconds.😳
IT’S—THE—GUNS

Oklahoma is the 5th hungriest state in the US. Lack of access to food adversely affects mental & physical health, increases anxiety & aggression, causes illness, & decreases academic achievement. I wonder if Oklahoma will “protect our kids” by providing much needed nourishment?
Let this serve as a reminder that poverty is a policy choice.
In the richest country in the world, it is absolutely inexcusable that millions of our children go to school hungry because they are living in poverty.
Kudos to Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota state legislature.
Let me be very clear to these corporations that are going to post for International Women’s Day: instead of posting, how about you make sure women are getting their whole damn dollar in your company.
Mass shootings in the US:
2014: 273
2015: 336
2016: 383
2017: 348
2018: 336
2019: 417
2020: 610
2021: 690
2022: 647
In the first seven weeks of 2023: 67
We do not have to live like this. No other country on the planet does.
It will be a rude awakening when Ryan Walters finally realizes that some of his “best and brightest” teachers are also committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. #oklaed
A reminder as Oklahomans watch their state's highest elected education official lambast "left-wing" "indoctrination" that the same guy has openly said he thinks Oklahoma students are obligated to believe in the Christian god.
