SOS Israel - 30 Years After Rabinโs Assassination: A Rally for Democracy & Peace ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ
30 years after Yitzhak Rabinโs assassination, those who incited against him now sit in government. Those who fought peace and inflamed hatred now hold power. Their messianic extremism and moral bankruptcy threaten Israelโs future and endanger Jews worldwide.
Rabin, who led Israel through war and still chose the brave path to peace, paid the ultimate price for his vision.
On 2 November, Israelis and British Jews will stand for the values Rabin fought for - democracy, security. accountable leadership and peace.

Join us!
Chag Sameach! Wishing you a joyous and meaningful Sukkot.
As we sit in these fragile structures, we are reminded that peace isn't a solid, permanent fortress that shuts us off; it is a delicate structure that requires constant vigilance, repair, and being open to all.
๐To all our friends and all those connected to Meretz UK,
On the eve of Yom Kippur, we extend our warmest wishes for a sincere and focused day of reflection.
Above all, we look to the new year with hope, renewing our faith in the possibility of genuine and lasting peace. ๐๏ธ
Shana Tova!
To our friends and families,
As the sun sets and we welcome the new year of 5786, the Meretz UK community wishes you a sweet, happy, and peaceful new year. May the year ahead be filled with good health, joy, and prosperity for you and your loved ones. ๐
Unbelievable. We were under the impression that the march on Sunday was a march for the hostages not a march against the Palestinian state. Did the organisers just lie or is @JLC_uk CEO twisting the truth and using the hostages to promote their political agenda?
@AllHostages@Kulanu_Hatufim
โWe deplore the way a section of the crowd treated the Co-Chief Executive Rabbis of Progressive Judaism today, and that they were asked to leave the stage.โ
Our full comment on scenes at the hostage rally today:
At todayโs London march for the release of the hostages, Rabbis Charley Baginsky and Josh Levy, respected and loved co-leaders of Progressive Judaism, were shouted down by members of the audience and removed from the stage by organisers before they could finish speaking.
Their โoffenceโ? Speaking about the right of Palestinians to self-determination, our shared humanity, and the dangers posed by Israelโs own government, while also condemning Hamas and the horrors of 7 October.
Silencing voices because they donโt fit a narrow narrative is wrong and anti-democratic.
We stand with Rabbis Josh and Charley.
Read their full speech in comments ๐Share their words widely - their voices calling for humanity must not be silenced.
@RabCharley@rabbijoshlevy@JewishNewsUK@JewishChron
The way Rabbis Charley and Josh were treated is appalling. It is also disappointing that the organisers didnโt try to stop the bullies who shouted violently and instead they demaned that Charley and Josh leave the stage. Ironic considering the fact that theyโre called Stop The Hate. Sounds like there was a lot of hate today at this event.
