One of the most underestimated videos (audios) on Youtube. https://t.co/rjk3Xx0xpZ Scarlatti: Sonata in F sharp minor K. 25 The a m a z i n g Aladár Rácz is playing the cimbalom. #Scarlatti#classicalmusic#virtuoso#Hungary
Bitter disappointment @ $18. Nose shows overcooked fruit, palate is thin, dull, & slightly bitter. Hard to believe this comes from the same winery as the Blue Sky at $27 . Difference is night and day. I’d strongly advise any1 to steer clear of this bottle

Young Boris Johnson killing chicken in a Hungarian village comedy from 1977. It's a must.

Two Merlots from Hungary. Left: 2021, Szekszárd region, Eszterbauer Winery. Right: 2020, Villány region, Maul Winery. The one on the right costs $10, the one on the left twice as much, but its quality is many-many times higher. #winelover#winelovers#wine#wineinfluencers
A festival on the palate. At the moment, there can't be many better wines than this for under $5, in Central Europe. Chardonnay Selection, 2022, Nyakas Winery, Hungary
This is what happens when you look away for just a moment. I was abroad for a few days, and in the meantime, they built the world's first life-sized LEGO tram!

1 of 580 bottles (2 amphoras). Excellent wine of Ipacs-Szabó Winery, Siklós, Hungary. The vintage is 2022 , but this unfiletered wine is still like a nouveau/novello. Presumably based on Kékfrankos/Blaufränkisch. #wine
Excellent Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch), at $3. Wunderlich Winery, Villány, Hungary, 2018. At its peak, without the variety's often unpleasant geranium-like component in the nose.
A 2in1 wine, $3.80
A 'Battonage' Pinot Blanc from Wekler Winery (Pécs, Hungary). Flesh of a Chardonnay built on the bones of a Sauvignon Blanc. Funny.

The Roman Wine of Speyer's the oldest surviving bottle of wine, found in Germany, in a tomb of a legionary from the 4th century A.D. It was enriched with herbs. The preservation is attributed to a large amount of olive oil added to keep air out, as well as a hot wax seal. #wine
This is much younger (1951) than that one in the previous tweet. Villány, Hungary. Garpe: Hárslevelű (Lindenblättriger or Feuille de Tilleul or Lipovina or Frunza de tei)

Furmint and Lipovina of Demain Winery. Two fine wines from the Slovakian, i.e. nothern side of Tokaj region. For my fellow-Hungarians: Lipovina is Hárslevelű. #tokaj#tokaji#tokay#wine
