Bitter disappointment @ $18. Nose shows overcooked fruit, palate is thin, dull, & slightly bitter. Hard to believe this comes from the same winery as the Blue Sky at $27 . Difference is night and day. I’d strongly advise any1 to steer clear of this bottle

The Roman Wine of Speyer's the oldest surviving bottle of wine, found in Germany, in a tomb of a legionary from the 4th century A.D. It was enriched with herbs. The preservation is attributed to a large amount of olive oil added to keep air out, as well as a hot wax seal. #wine
