The developer is the brother…
of the mayor…
who is the realtor on the development…
And the city manager,
Who will sign that agreement…
Rents a house…
From the mayor…
In that development…
Last night the Smithville City Council unanimously voted to approve a 2nd extension for a 380 agreement
for a development owned by the mayor’s brother,
in which the mayor is the realtor.

@mattvanswol At least your county makes the data and mugshots public. We haven’t had that in Bastrop County for almost a decade. They will only give info to the person or family member. Even as media I can’t get mugshots. Booking info takes a TPIA (1 at a time!)
@AustinJustice Bc the bigger cities aren’t addressing this, we are now seeing them out here. Williamson Co let this guy go on 5/20 and 6 days later, he’s in Smithville exposing himself. He has 2 commitment bookings in Hardin Co.

@JoeTegtmeyer This is amazing! I can’t believe how intense that sound wave was. You visibly moved! And I can’t believe how long it lasted. It was pretty high and having an impact. What a cool experience, thanks for sharing!
@JustineBateman This book changed my life. Pg 197 and 198 specifically. I read it in Nov 2024, & started my business in Jan 2025. It has not been easy but I am forever grateful for those words and that push to “have the guts to let everyone see what you’re good at.” 🙏🏼
@data_atx Oh wow
They spent a lot trying to convince the rural towns last year and I thought they said we were their last option. Other water sources weren’t ideal.
The tech is interesting. The amount to complete the project was mind boggling.
@chamath I was trying to run some municipal budgets in my small town and had the same experience a month ago: Claude was the only one who couldn’t do it. I even upgraded and paid…still folded its arms. It’s a 29-page budget. Haven’t used Claude since.
@LauraLoomer Voting @JohnCornyn tha fuck out of office.
The fact that I have to vote for @KenPaxtonTX, who has not been a friend of the press, to do it does not make me happy.
But here we are.
Shoulda passed the SAVE Act John.
