I never imagined I would be celebrating this day by standing on your grave, talking to the wind and hoping somehow you can still hear me. Life has never been the same since you left. There’s a kind of pain that never truly goes away — it just learns how to stay quiet in the background while you keep living.

Today, I came to see you with a heart full of memories, love, and questions I still wish I could ask you. I miss your voice, your hugs, your prayers, your laughter, and the way you made everything feel okay even when life wasn’t. I miss being someone’s child in the safest way possible.
