Pity the organisers of "St. Patrick's Festival" in Dublin opted for a monolingual title for the event. Also, shame on @rte for doing likewise in the graphics accompanying the TV coverage of the parade. @stpatricksfest could have followed the example of Wales or Canada @CnaG

Censuses of Ireland, 1813-91. Check out Virtual Treasury, Census Gleanings, to see our latest additions, which include some census extracts from - wait for it - 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 (small numbers, I'm afraid). A long way to go, but we are well above 40k names in VRTI now.
