Public safety is non-negotiable. @MesaPD and @MesaFireDept show up for our community hundreds of times a day. The result: a 14% drop in violent crime, driven by proactive policing, strong relationships and accountability. #SOTCMesa2026
🍃 Today, we are proud to support the Las Sendas community in Mesa, which has been recognized as a Firewise USA community since 2021 for its continued commitment to wildfire risk reduction.
The Superstition crew and our Prevention Division are actively working in common areas to improve both the intermediate and extended Home Ignition Zones, helping to reduce wildfire risk and enhance public safety.
This collaborative effort is the result of strong partnerships with Las Sendas community and @MesaFireDept. Together, we’re building a more fire-adapted and resilient community. 💪

Mesa is lucky to have public servants like Vice Mayor Somers and Fire Chief Cameli.
Both have dedicated themselves to serving the community with integrity, skill, and heart — and made the city stronger in the process.
Congratulations to both on being named one of America's 250 Public Service Champions.
Firefighters are on the front lines of community safety.
I met with chiefs and members of @PHXFire, @MesaFireDept, and @ScottsdaleFire to discuss staffing and equipment grants, emergency communications, and smarter safety standards so we can prevent disasters before they start.
