Thank you @Herniadoc for listening to patients & working hard to protect those patients at risk for mesh reactions. You rise above many surgeons with their heads in the sand. Polite way of saying heads up their body part where the sun don't shine. #meshoma hurts. Lead the way!
@lliheus@lucagordini The paper’s focus is to detail our practice’s experience and shed light on different indications for mesh removal. It’s our experience that we are seeing a significant increase (now 1/3 of our patients in 2017) in patients requiring mesh removal due to an actual systemic reaction
It’s a very common procedure for hernia repair but the surgery often uses a type of mesh that’s been banned in Australia for other health problems. Many hernia patients have been suffering complications in silence - now they want their voices heard. #TheProjectTV
@SusanMorgan19@Mesh_Maven I had mesh removed from 8 hernias last month because it was infected. They took all mesh and 30" of intestine cause the mesh adhered to my intestines. I'm still recovering, huge surgery
‘The doctors say they can’t take the mesh out because the flesh will have grown into it. It has very sharp edges which dig in all the time and sometimes touch nerves. The pain is gradually getting worse and there is apparently nothing they can do about it’https://t.co/LPXfA5bpxt
This is fantastic work. I’m going to send this to the Mass General “Top Doc” neurologist that labeled me hyper vigilant. This symptom list describes my life 2014-2015. Thank you @meshdevicenews 👏🙏👍🏻 https://t.co/MAWYS86T5s
Watch for the documentary coming in July on Netflix! If FDA isn't going to protect us, we must educate consumers to the scandalous behavior of medical device regulators. If you've been harmed, raise your voice, twitter till your fingers ache. Thank you 4 the #theBleedingEdgedoc https://t.co/TG4IE3PakS
