Well hello London! What a glorious start to my first day at The British Museum. Super nervous, super excited, and super honoured to spend the next few years working with the collections here. Onwards!
Yesterday was my last day in this amazing place! King's Manor has been very special to me for a long time. The last five years here have been inspiring, challenging, full of wonderful colleagues, friends, and brilliant students. Sad to be leaving, but new adventures are imminent!
Just a little Sunday reminder to all #flintfans and #lithiclovers 🙌
Don’t forget there is no cost to submit an abstract, and we are accepting both poster and paper presentations (in-person talks are encouraged however online presentations can be discussed) 💻
We're just one week away from the conference! Super excited to be welcoming researchers from near and far to York. We'll be live-posting throughout the conference, so please give us a follow!

Spent an inspiring and humbling evening at the @YorkCares Golden Moments awards ceremony, hearing some wonderful stories of how local businesses engage with the community in York. Pretty stunned to receive an award for an archaeological aspirations session!

@AndyNeedhamArch and I had such a brilliant time hosting this event for @YorkFestofIdeas! Thank you to all our attendees for coming to sit, reflect, craft, chat, and ask questions. The fire was cosy, the birds were calling, time stood still, and we didn't even notice the rain!
Today I spent three wonderful hours in the long ago and I made real stuff. Delighted with my shale pendant, amber bead, and wobbly pot. All is well, as long as someone else was catching dinner. Thanks so much @MesoPip@AndyNeedhamArch @YEARCentre @YorkFestofIdeas
Following this brilliant piece in British Archaeology, we are thrilled that @MatthewPope will deliver the conference's opening plenary on this very topic. To hear Matt, and all the fantastic research happening in #Palaeolithic archaeology, register now: https://t.co/MnreeSjgDc
@AmyJaneBeer@AndyNeedhamArch @YEARCentre @YorkFestofIdeas Thank you for coming! It was wonderful to spend time with you and all the other lovely people that came to the workshops, thinking about past and present connections to people, places, pots, pendants, and pyrotechnology!
