There’s a very specific feeling when you wake up after actually sleeping well.

You’re not fighting the alarm.

Your head feels clearer.

You’re not immediately looking for coffee.

You just feel… ready.

That feeling is probably more valuable than we give it credit for.

@Sleepagotchi is interesting because they’re building around something incredibly familiar instead of trying to invent a completely new behavior.

Everybody sleeps.

The question is whether we’re getting enough from those hours.

I think there’s something powerful about turning sleep from something you simply “do” into something you actively improve.

Server: “Excuse me, sir. Are you waiting for someone?”

Marcus: “Oh, I didn’t realize. Is it okay if I sit here for a few minutes?”

Server: “I’d really prefer if you moved to the back.”

Marcus looked around.

There were three empty tables.

Marcus: “Sure. No problem.”

As he stood up, the manager walked over.

Manager: “What’s going on?”

Server: “He was sitting in the reserved section.”

The manager looked Marcus up and down.

Manager: “Sir, this is a pretty expensive restaurant. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sit, there are places down the street.”

Marcus quietly picked up his coffee.

Marcus: “I understand.”

Then the front door opened.
