🚨 PROJECTION: THE METS WILL TRADE RONNY MAURICIO
Yes, Mauricio had a strong September and showed flashes of the talent that once made him one of the organization’s most intriguing prospects. But the bigger picture is concerning.
Mauricio has struggled to stay on the field for an extended period of time, and when healthy, he hasn’t consistently produced at the level the Mets need.
The talent is there. The consistency hasn’t been.
Mauricio also has ZERO minor-league options remaining, meaning if he doesn’t make the Mets Opening Day roster, the team would have to expose him to waivers via a DFA.
And right now, where exactly does Mauricio fit?
He doesn’t have a locked-in position, and the Mets are entering 2027 with the expectation of contending. At this stage, they need established MLB talent and proven veterans, not another player they’re hoping could eventually become a difference-maker.
Would you trade Mauricio now while he still has value, or give him one more chance to prove himself in Queens? 🍎
TJ Hockenson made the right choice 👏
But, there’s no denying this was a bad beat for Anytime TD or MIN Spread bettors ...
Hock put his team first, so we're putting YOU first, refunding Anytime TD and MIN spread bettors with FanCash! A true win-win 🤝
The dream scenario of every kid. Bottom of the ninth. Two outs. Bases loaded. Facing the toughest pitcher in the world to hit.
Jackson Chourio made magic.
Mets fans… THIS could get interesting.
Yesterday, I spoke with a former MLB GM who told me he wouldn’t be surprised if Clay Holmes lands a BIGGER contract than Sean Manaea this offseason.
Why? The lack of quality starting pitching available on the open market could drive Holmes’ price way up.
He gave me his projection 👀👇
But here’s the BIG question:
💰 Are you willing to pay Clay Holmes THIS much at age 34?

Jose Iglesias, 36, told Craig Melvin this week that he feels “good” and would only play for the Mets or Padres. He has not officially retired.
“If that phone rings… I’ll be there… I’m in that stage in my life where, not just to play, but to play for something.”
