Finishing up the work on the full post with adjustments for the different rulesets for probably the worlds simplest blackjack counting system, should be ready in a day or two. Let me know if there are specific unusual ruleset combinations you would like me to run the analysis on!
How can a casual blackjack player, who sees card counting as too difficult, make money at the table? This thread gives the world's simplest counting system. For every four or five played add one to total, for every ace played take one away. Don't bother with a count conversion.
For H17 might make sense to count tens rather than aces as will have more impact. Obviously feel free to adjust the betting strategy, feel that adjusting by win/loss and the count is an underrated way of getting money on the table without heat
Have been asked to take a look at simpler blackjack counting system for the casual player, will be taking a look over the next few days and posting if I find anything useful.
We think the top three casino games for casual or novice gamblers (based on house edge, SD and 'fun') are:
1. Craps
2. Baccarat
3. Blackjack

We were asked whether you can beat a Vegas casino at blackjack, playing basic strategy and varying bets in a combination of win/loss of previous hand and the count, with max bet variation of 12 to 1
The answer is yes! Click below for details...

Reminds us a little bit of the strategy outlined by Ian Anderson in Burning the Tables, although he increased his win rate by making the high count play variations all the time (as he would have the most money on the table at high counts), rather than playing basic strategy
We were asked whether you can beat a Vegas casino at blackjack in the long run, playing basic strategy and varying bets in a combination of win/loss of previous hand and the count, with max bet variation of 12 to 1. Will publish results in a few hours, any guesses?
What should we look at next?

Just published counting system for Vegas version of the baccarat lucky 6 side bet. Over twice the return of the Asian version! 3.18 bets per shoe and an average edge of 5.96%

Just doing some quick work on a counting system for the Vegas version (given most of you seem to be American on here 😀), should be ready in a day or two, and much more potential, given house edge of only 11.7% vs 16.7% for the Asian version (although lower betting limits)
As promised here is the first known counting system for the lucky 6 baccarat side bet

Relatively small rare opportunity (1.23 bets per shoe, 5.55% edge) but in Macau lack of heat, acceptability of Wonging and incredibly high max bets (have seen $10k on normal tables, not sweating) make it interesting. Apparently Vegas even has a version with higher payouts?
