It was time to move David Peterson, but he was better than most people realize.

In 42 starts from May 2024 through Aug 2025, he had a 3.29 ERA in 268 IP - which puts him about 25th-35th in MLB over that span (on par with Max Fried, Chris Sanchez, Logan Gilbert). No doubt he will benefit from improved infield defense in Chicago. #RunPrevention

Zach Short is a career .172 hitter who hit .167/.527 in 23 games w Detroit this season. He has 15 career HRs.

In related news, Wilmer Flores is slashing .311/.891 in the Mexican league right now. He had 16 HRs w SF last season.

Let’s Flip the energy!

Instead of being on the wrong side of loud, let’s make Citi Field roar for the right reasons and cheer this team on.
The boos have been nonstop, yet they haven’t delivered a single win. Maybe it’s karma.

Time to change the energy we’re putting out into the universe and see if we can help right the ship. I’m committing right now. I’ll be at the ballpark on Tuesday.
