"Σήμερα θέλω να γράψω για έναν άνθρωπο που έχει πραγματικά ανάγκη.

Πήγα να μαζέψω έναν σκύλο που εγκατέλειψαν στον Κέδρινο Λόφο και «έπεσα» πάνω στον Ίγκο.

Ο Ίγκο είναι μόλις 43 ετών. Πριν από δύο χρόνια υπέστη σοβαρό εγκεφαλικό και πλέον η μία πλευρά του σώματός του δεν λειτουργεί. Δεν μπο��εί να μιλήσει και ακόμη και το νερό το πίνει με σύριγγα, μόνο όταν είναι ξαπλωμένος.

Είναι άστεγος.

Επειδή είναι ανασφάλιστος, δεν μπορεί να μπει σε κέντρο αποκατάστασης, καθώς το κόστος είναι απαγορευτικό. Προσπάθησε να μείνει στο άσυλο του Δήμου, όμως εκεί τον χτύπησαν, του έκλεψαν δύο φορές το σακίδιό του και μου έγραψε πως ο χώρος έχει ψύλλους! Έφυγε από εκεί και σήμερα ζει μόνος του σε ένα κιόσκι στον Κέδρινο Λόφο. (Δίπλα στο μπαρ Hibou Seih Sou έχει ένα μονοπάτι είναι στα 30 μέτρα στο κιόσκι).

Το πιο σκληρό είναι πως λίγα μόλις μέτρα πιο πέρα ο κόσμος πίνει τον καφέ του, τρώει, γελάει και διασκεδάζει και εκείνος κάθεται μόνος, παρακολουθώντας τη ζωή να περνάει δ��πλα του.

Ο Ίγκο εργαζόταν ως κηπουρός στο ξενοδοχείο Μιράτζιο μέχρι που το εγκεφαλικό άλλαξε τα πάντα. Δεν έχει γονείς, είναι μοναχοπαίδι και βρίσκεται μόνος του στην Ελλάδα. Έχει εργαστεί νόμιμα στη χώρα και διαθέτει ΑΜΚΑ, όμως σήμερα νιώθει πως δεν υπάρχει καμία ελπίδα και λέει ότι η ζωή του πρέπει να τελειώσει.

Απευθύνομαι σε όλους σας.

• Αν υπάρχει φυσιοθεραπευτής ή φυσικοθεραπεύτρια που θα μπορούσε εθελοντικά να του κάνει μερικές συνεδρίες στον χώρο όπου βρίσκεται.
• Αν κάποιος στη βόλτα του, μπορεί να του προσφέρει αλεσμένο φαγητό (τύπου παιδικές τροφές αλεσμένες ή αν πάρει φαγητό να το κάνει σε κρέμα), ένα μπουκάλι νερό ή είδη πρώτης ανάγκης.
• Αν κάποιος γνωρίζει κάποια δομή, υπηρεσία ή άνθρωπο που πραγματικά μπορεί να βοηθήσει στην περίπτωσή του, γιατί έχω ψάξει και η κατάσταση είναι πολύ απογοητευτική.
• Ή αν έχετε οποιαδήποτε ιδέα που θα μπορούσε να του δώσει μια ευκαιρία να σταθεί ξανά στα πόδια του.

Κάθε βοήθεια, όσο μικρή κι αν φαίνεται, για τον Ίγκο μπορεί να κάνει τεράστια διαφορά!

Σίγουρα άμεσα χρειάζεται να ανακτήσει τις κινήσεις του. Για την ώρα έχει όλα τα φάρμακα που χρειάζεται, ρούχα καθαρά, εσώρουχα, ένα στρώμα, sleeping bag, φαγητό σε κονσέρβες, νερά, μπισκότα, υγρά μαντηλάκια.

Ο Ίγκο είναι ακίνδυνος για κάποιον που θέλει να πάει απο εκεί, και θέλει να έχει μία δεύτερη ευκαιρία".

Sony and Playstation doesn't care about you, they want physical discs gone. They will keep ignoring fans and not care. But there are things they will HAVE TO CARE about:

I have done a lot of research and got help from a lot of people to find out all this info, so please read and try to understand all this. There is no reason to argue with each other, no rage or anything like that will actually do anything. But reading and understanding how things work might:

Right now, a Dutch group is suing Sony for €400 million in the "Fair PlayStation" lawsuit on behalf of 1.7 million gamers.
Their argument is that Sony controls basically all digital game sales on PlayStation and charges a 30% "Sony Tax". According to their research, digital games are around 47% more expensive than physical ones.
Sony’s decision to stop physical disc production in 2028 strengthens their case, because it removes the used game market and leaves gamers with almost no real alternative to Sony’s store.

Even if this Dutch case doesn’t fully win on its own, it still matters. If the court finds Sony is abusing its dominant position, it gives the EU Commission strong evidence to open their own investigation under antitrust rules.

Under EU competition law, the Commission can fine Sony heavily and force remedies so for example by making them allow competing digital stores on PlayStation!

So what can we actually do, since Sony clearly doesn’t care if they lose fans over this?

- If you own a business that will be hurt by this (like a game shop), go to the EU Commission’s competition website and file a Form C. This is an official complaint that forces them to look into how Sony is affecting your business!
- Keep buying physical copies at launch when possible. The more physical sales there are, the harder it is for Sony to claim “nobody wants discs anymore”.
- Sign the “Don’t Kill the Disc” petition on Change org. Big signature numbers are used as proof of consumer harm in these cases. (links under post)
- Support the Stop Killing Games movement. It’s pushing for better consumer rights around game ownership.

Being angry on its own won’t do much. The goal is to create an official paper trail so EU antitrust regulators actually pay attention and take action. This is legit the only way something will change, sony is willing to lose fans over this. Since being all digital for them will be worth it long term!

On the same day Sony told a billion gamers to embrace digital forever, it quietly showed them the catch.

Two announcements, one blog, an hour apart.

First: from January 2028, no new PlayStation game will ship on a disc, digital only.

Second, buried below: Sony is closing the online stores for the PlayStation 3 and Vita, so you will no longer be able to buy games there at all.

Read together, they are not two stories. They are the whole argument about what you actually own.

A disc is the last thing in your home a Silicon Valley company cannot reach. A PlayStation game from 1994 still works today, and the law lets you resell it, lend it, keep it forever.

That is ownership. It is protected by something called the first-sale doctrine, and it applies to physical objects. It does not apply to digital purchases. That is not Sony being cruel. That is the quiet legal truth underneath the whole shift.

Sony's own spokesperson said it plainly today. With all digital content, you are not buying the game. You are buying a personal license for non-commercial use. Not the thing. Permission to use the thing, which depends on the company's servers and goodwill. They once pulled a game called Concord two weeks after launch. Buyers got refunds, but the game itself simply vanished.

This was never really about discs versus downloads. It is about moving the largest entertainment medium on Earth from a world where you own an object the law protects, to one where you hold access the law treats as rented.

Convenient, cheaper, and easier for almost everyone. Also revocable in a way a disc never was.

The click of a disc into a console was ownership. The download is permission. Sony just showed you, in a single morning, how differently the two age.
