Allowing the communist pope to elect church officials within the United States is an attack on American national sovereignty…only the elected representative of the American people should appoint bishops and such
Political quantum mechanics posits that a 25 year old is both a delicate child who must be protected from their own views and also an important adult who needs to manage the most powerful nation’s critical payment system
I would be sympathetic to this view except at some point you have to realize a negative review of a small Indy book is pointless--announcing to the world " hey this book you never heard of? it's dogshit!!"
The problem is that literary criticism is extremely dishonest. You have critics who love every book they’ve ever reviewed—they’re running PR for authors. This is insulting to the authors and the few remaining serious readers left. Do we want a serious literary culture or not?
