Thank you, @MarkLGoldberg for this thoughtful and substantive conversation on #GlobalDispatches.
We discussed the importance of making prevention and early action an operating principle across the @UN; ensuring that the Secretary-General is present, persistent, impartial, and ready to serve as a bridge-builder; and strengthening collective action on global health and development.
I remain an optimist because I believe in humanity, in our ability to build peace and resilience, and in the enduring potential of the United Nations.

It was a privilege to share the stage with all candidates for Secretary-General.
We may bring different experiences and ideas, but we are united by our commitment to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and our belief that multilateralism matters.
My sincere thanks to fellow President of the General Assembly Annalena Baerbock for convening this Town Hall, and to @Bloomberg for bringing this conversation to a global audience.

On #UNCharterDay, we are reminded that the United Nations does not face a crisis of purpose. Its principles remain timeless, its mandate indispensable, and its promise as relevant today as it was 81 years ago.
Ahead of the UN’s 75th anniversary, I had the privilege, as President of the @UN General Assembly, to launch an initiative reaffirming our collective commitment to the Charter. It remains our compass for peace, international cooperation, and effective multilateralism.
The Charter shows the way. Our responsibility is to turn its purposes and principles into action.

Delighted to meet today with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea, H.E. Cho Hyun. Our exchange focused on strengthening international cooperation and renewing multilateralism to meet the challenges of our time.
I deeply value the Republic of Korea’s commitment to peace, dialogue and principled cooperation, and its role in shaping a @UN that is more effective and relevant.

In times of fragmentation, dialogue is an act of leadership. I was honoured to join my fellow candidates for UN Secretary-General at the Jeju Forum to discuss how we can strengthen multilateralism, harness AI responsibly, empower young people, advance peace and security, and recognise the inseparable connection between the UN’s three pillars.
My sincere thanks to the Jeju Forum and the Government of the Republic of Korea for convening this timely conversation. At a moment when global trust is under strain, creating spaces for open dialogue and principled cooperation has never been more important. @jejuforumpp@mofkorea
