TW : Mental health issues
Today, I put on my pair of trousers, before realising I had forgotten to put on underwear first.
I left the house 1h40min after my alarm had gone on. I realised shortly after that that I had left my 'lunch' at home and forgotten to brush my teeth.
@miss_k_dewar@MrTs_NQTs In my former school, this had to go through Safeguarding and pastoral. You may want to check with them before talking to your class. They may have some useful advice too.
@teechurrr @MrTs_NQTs You could prepare answers to questions about skills important to the role (I would imagine communication, decision making, attention to detail, time management, for example) using the STAR structure.

It is thought-provoking to see how teachers are once again blamed for something that should not be their responsibility, something that denotes deep-rooted issues in the teaching profession.
Teachers' resignation rules in the UK are unaccommodating and unrealistic.

@joedale I have a playlist of French songs through the ages. Sneak in that Cultural Capital whenever I can. Often use it as a timer, eg "you've got until this sing finishes to ..." Students often request other songs they've heard on TikTok, films, ads, and I add them too.
Teachers should let headteachers know, ahead of time, that they need to leave for their own sanity, to avoid schools having to recruit someone new.
I'm tired of this.
(The end.)
What we know for certain is that the system does not value the wellbeing, physical and mental health of teachers and other staff in schools. It hasn't done so in a very long time.
But...
