Today we mourn 26 lives ripped away too early. Six years ago, Sandy Hook Elementary School was devastated, and the community forever changed. It is a pain we know all too well. Newtown, then and always, we stand with you.

Yet another horrific shooting and every news outlet runs a profile piece on the shooter. Media must hold itself responsible for creating legacies and motives for these individuals. STOP USING THEIR NAME. Localize coverage to affected communities/ families and control this.

Our hearts are with Thousand Oaks today, but when will this end? Something must be done. We must chose love over violence so today we ask that you send some love towards Thousand Oaks, and you continue to fight for them in the days to come.

We will perpetuate this life saving conversation until we eradicate gun violence and have morally just leaders in office.
