Students at Mary G. Clarkson School worked hard during STEAM classes with Ms. Navarra to create floats powered by robots. They programmed the robots and watched as they traveled down the parade route. #ItsAShoreThing
@Marygclarkson students participated in the MGC Thanksgiving Parade! Thanks to our STEAM teacher, Ms. Navarra, who guided students in building their own floats in class. She then helped program robots to drive their masterpieces in our own Thanksgiving parade! @BayShoreSchools

Students in Ms. Navarra’s STEAM classes at Mary G. Clarkson School learned that spiders are some of the most talented engineers in nature. Students added bases and beams to build a segmented web bridge to cross the gap.
Full STEAM ahead! MGC kicked off our STEAM classes today. Our engineers took on a challenge to repurpose materials to create their name. We discussed the importance of repurposing items to create something new and exciting.
