I asked Tom Izzo about the viral clip of Charles Barkley defending his coaching style by saying people have gotten too soft.
Izzo: "Now we're supposed to just hug and kiss everybody... Accountability is going to be big until I leave."
@ChrisLongKSTP@matthewschreurs Wish they would. That would be the right thing to do. Instead they roll through a 2A class and rob legimite small towns of a once in a lifetime chance to win a state title.
@ChrisLongKSTP@PA_GirlsHoops Providence doesn’t necessarily have an automatic advantage, but if they choose to pursue students that excel in certain sports (or the students choose to play together), no one can argue they have a built in advantage vs a smaller town where that choice isn’t an option.
@ChrisLongKSTP@PA_GirlsHoops It’s too bad that many 2A schools have to go up against schools like Providence that draw from a much larger pool of students. The end result is they lose out at a chance to experience a championship. (Albany, Crosby, Fergus Falls).
@ChadCourrier Happy to pay the $2 daily fee to read the last article from someone every local paper should aspire to have. Much appreciation for what you do from a far. “Despite the national rhetoric, community journalism remains important” couldn’t be more true. Well done.
