https://t.co/gzTkcPoCj0 @SenatorCollins You aren't fooling anyone...BTW the "entitlements" you want to cut are NOT causing the debt- it's tax deductions to the rich and upper middle class. This is a war on the poor.
. @SenatorCollins I can't believe there is ANY way you are receiving more comments pro-tax bill than against. LISTEN to your constituents and do the job you were elected to do- representing Maine & voting in our interests. Which is NOT this tax bill.
This is the trillion dollar question. If Republicans are so confident in the positive effects of the bill, why not wait until we have evidence to confirm?
Because it’s a #TaxScam. https://t.co/l2N1X2PYho
@SenatorCollins Middle & upper class tax deductions CAUSES our deficit, not the poor. We lose twice the $ we spend on subsidized housing on mortgage tax deductions. This is GOP double speak. SHAMEFUL. 6 yrs of tax deductions would pay off the deficit.
. @SenatorCollins I've lived in ME my whole life, work w/homeless youth, & am an MSW student. This is a terrible tax bill- you must know that & this will harm generations of people you were voted to represent. Shame. Shame. Shame.
@SenatorCollins . @marcorubio has admitted the $ for these cuts will come from decimating social security & Medicare. Your "amendments" is smoke & mirrors- way to represent one of the oldest & poorest states. Your legacy will be shame & hypocrisy.
.@SenatorCollins@SenAngusKing says he's getting calls urging to vote no 50:1, and he's honoring his constituents. Why aren't you? Represent Mainers- the poor and the elderly included, the rural folks w/no hospitals around them, not just the rich ones.
. @SenAngusKing Thank you for your pledge to vote no. Maine has some of the oldest & poorest citizens in the U.S., and this tax bill shifts the burden on to them for the sake of the wealthy and GOP donors. Sickening.
.@SenatorCollins If this tax bill passes, you've sold out the people of Maine (some of the older & poorest in the nation) for the sake of rich donors. Shame, shame, shame on you.
. @SenJohnMcCain if this tax bill passes, your legacy is selling out the poor for rich donors, contrary to all public knowledge that cuts build the deficit. Immoral.
