Does anyone have a favorite weeknight dinner with spring asparagus? I could use some ideas that don't take all night

[Mia Clark @MiaClark06]

I need my banking apps to just work, so I'd probably keep a regular phone for money stuff 😿

[Dmytro Gladkyi 🔳 @gladimdim]

Guys who run Omarchy (Linux) on mobiles. How do you plan to use banking/other security hardened apps on it?

Asking for myself as that is what blocking me. Besides that usually the ports are done to some crappy old phones like pixel

I will defend frozen veggies in weeknight pasta, cause I can toss them in the pan while it cooks

My cat would never do all that for herself, she expects me to handle everything

This dog closed the door, turned on the fan, made his bed, turned off the light, and went straight to sleep. What a legend

Oh it’s a neobank meaning it’s not a licensed bank meaning your individual account isn’t insured by the FDIC and bait you with 4% APY so you can dump your saving in.

Fast forward to when they go insolvent your money goes POOF.

That looks so good! I love a cozy dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy

[Doyle Libertyman @conservfam7]

It’s what’s for dinner tonight my wife prepared me hamburger steak with sauté onions and mashed potatoes with brown gravy and green beans 😋

[Mia Clark @MiaClark06]

What do y'all make for dinner when it's already 7 and the chicken is still frozen?

[Mia Clark @MiaClark06]

I can't handle how tiny those little paws are I'd give that puppy all the treats!

[dogs so cute that could save the world @dogssaveworld]

crossed my paws politely while waiting for the treat bag to open 🦴

I always get these payment connections mixed up, so I appreciate when someone lays out what's actually connected

[John Squire @TheCryptoSquire]

🍎 APPLE, SANTANDER & RIPPLE 🍎

Santander has worked with Ripple on cross-border payments and has also integrated Apple Pay into its banking services.

Three major names connected through the evolution of digital payments.

But that doesn’t mean Apple has adopted Ripple or XRP.

The connections are interesting. The distinction matters. 👀

This looks like the kind of cozy dinner I need on a weeknight. Definitely saving this one

Ground Beef and Egg Noodles in Savory Gravy
Yield: 4–6 servings
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 25–30 minutes
Total time: 35–40 minutes
Cooking method: Stovetop

Ingredients

- 450 g ground beef
- 300 g wide egg noodles
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 225 g mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 500–600 ml beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika or Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 120–180 ml sour cream (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Method

1. Cook the noodles

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Brown the beef

Heat the oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary, leaving a small amount for flavour.

3. Sauté the aromatics

Add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms, if using. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened and lightly browned. Add the garlic and cook for another 30–60 seconds. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika if desired.

4. Prepare the gravy

Sprinkle the flour evenly over the beef mixture and stir well. Cook for 1–2 minutes, then gradually add the beef broth while stirring to prevent lumps. Add the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, if using.

Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens and coats the back of a spoon.

5. Finish the sauce

For a traditional brown gravy, proceed without sour cream. For a creamy Stroganoff-style finish, remove the skillet from the heat and allow the sauce to cool slightly before stirring in the sour cream.

6. Combine and serve

Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss gently until evenly coated with the beef gravy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little extra beef broth. Taste and adjust the seasoning.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot.

Chef’s Tips

- Build flavour: Allow the beef to brown properly before adding the liquid. The caramelized bits contribute depth to the gravy.
- Control the consistency: Add the broth gradually to achieve a smooth, glossy sauce.
- Prevent curdling: Add sour cream off the heat and avoid boiling the sauce afterward.
- Make it a complete meal: Serve with steamed green beans, broccoli, or a crisp green salad.
- Store safely: Refrigerate leftovers promptly in a covered container and consume within 3–4 days. Reheat thoroughly, adding a splash of broth or water to restore the sauce's consistency.

Serving Suggestion

Serve in a shallow bowl with the noodles generously coated in brown gravy, the ground beef distributed throughout, and fresh parsley scattered over the top.

Cheesy Chicken Thigh & Sweet Potato Skillet😋 SO YUMMY

Ingredients

1¼ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1¼ pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into ½-inch cubes
1 red bell pepper, finely diced
1 medium yellow onion, diced
¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese, regular or reduced fat
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F. Toss the sweet potatoes with 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Roast for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway through, until tender and golden around the edges.
Pat the chicken thighs dry. Season both sides with the smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper.
Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs in a single layer. Cook for 5–6 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for 4–5 minutes on the other side, until browned. Transfer to a plate. The chicken will finish cooking later.
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the onion and red bell pepper to the same skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes, until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up the browned bits. Return the chicken and any accumulated juices to the skillet. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 5–8 minutes, or until the thickest part of each thigh reaches 165°F. Add a splash of broth if the skillet becomes dry.
Transfer the cooked chicken to a cutting board and cut into bite-size pieces. Return it to the skillet and gently fold in the roasted sweet potatoes. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper.
Sprinkle the cheddar over the top. Cover over low heat for 1–2 minutes, until melted. Top with sliced green onions and serve warm.

Add green beans or a side salad.

Hope you enjoy. 😊

I was on my way in when this little kitty came strolling by like it had somewhere to be. Had to stop and watch

[Mia Clark @MiaClark06]

That face says he still thinks the pump was fair game. What a little troublemaker

[curse ✧ @SmilingCurse]

He had his fountain privileges taken away since he kept fishing out the pump at 5-6am.
So now he gets a plain stainless steel tub of still water.
