The Full grown adults who canโt vacation, take a gap year, have hobbies, play an instrument, speak multiple languages, swim, cycle, skate, or backpack. Just a lifetime of hustling and trying to escape survival mode. These are subtle poverty metrics nobody really talks about.
Getting yo shit together requires a deep level of honesty with yourself, you gotta be able to look at yourself in the mirror & be willing to accept flaws & behavior that's not allowing you to grow , self evaluation is difficult but it's extremely necessary.
Unpopular opinion: Financial anxiety young people are living through is not normal. Monetising all your hobbies is not normal. Hustle culture is not normal. Glorifying precarious work is not normal. Self-optimisation is not normal.
Iโve never met someone whoโs genuinely happy with their life, comfortable with themselves, and at peace with their surroundings go out of their way to be rude. more often than not, that kind of behaviour comes from people who are deeply unhappy and project their pain onto others. once you realise that, it becomes much easier not to take it personally.
