Disturbing the Status Quo
by Michael Doyle
With a direct look filled with woe,
Life is disturbing the status quo.
A shotgun wedding points the way,
Niagara Falls charges the path that stays.
Pennies have been thrown away
As if only a ghost from yesterday.
Champagne and oysters fed our lines.
These showed we loved as Valentines...

“God forbid that the day should ever come when, in the American mind, the thought of man as a consumer shall submerge the old American thought of man as a creature of God, endowed with unalienable rights.” – Benjamin Harrison
Sooo... needless to say, I'm stll alive and well. That would be thanks to the staff at Northwest Radiology in Carmel, Indiana.... and no thanks to the negligent practces of the VAMC's urology department in Indianapolis. I have a follow up with Urology of Indiana on Thursday. By then, hope to be asking the needed questions to determine if the Inspector General's office is the next step.
This is a key reason that I'm moving to another jurisdiction. This isn't the first time when those around me asked me if the VA is trying to kill me through medical malpractice. :s I truly hope it isn't so. But it's getting harder to give a decent explanation to what's been going on. I don't think I have the legal abiility to sue for medical malpractice. But truly should.

The Prophets Said
by Michael Doyle
Then said the Lord,
And the Prophet Elijah led,
Always moving Israel forward,
Sometimes hopeful and others dread.
Still, in God's promises made,
We shall rejoice, being unafraid.
The holy covenants call to God's way.
We reflect on this in how we pray...

Sorry that I didn't manage to post this yesterday. I am heading to the hospital now for a procedure that I am allergic to receiving. I should be back post today's work in about 12 hours. Maybe less, they gave me medicine to make this a less rough ride. If not, it's been a pleasure.

“Fear prophets and those prepared to die for the truth, for as a rule they make many others die with them, often before them, at times instead of them.” – Umberto Eco
“And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.“ – Luke 1:17 NIV
This refers to John the Baptist.
Monsters Under Our Bed
by Michael Doyle
The dubious detective
Was a memory of the collective.
Searching through the night
For even one illuminating light.
In the face of the living dead,
The crowd screams its dread.
There are no real answers to be found,
No matter how fast clues are chased around...

“If we want to know the Glory of God, if we want to experience the beauty of God, and if we want to be used by the hand of God, then we must LIVE in the WORD of God.” – David Platt
A Tale of Indiana
by Michael Doyle
In the crack of life
Rests the obsession
Of all who know strife
And all of its oppression.
The cracks are loud,
In a way, somehow allowed.
It tells a story of death
That remains until our last breath...

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” – Nikola Tesla
What if music and light are the keys to the universe?
“For the fetus, though enclosed in the womb of its mother, is already a human being, and it is a monstrous crime to rob it of the life which it has not yet begun to enjoy. If it seems more horrible to kill a man in his own house than in a field, because a man’s house is his place of most secure refuge, it ought surely to be deemed more atrocious to destroy a fetus in the womb before it has come to light.” – John Calvin
In the Early Days
by Michael Doyle
In the early days, just past proficiency,
Zeppelin rapidly proved its sufficiency.
Hitting the studio with Glyns to engineer,
The world braced itself for what it would hear.
In the good times and bad times of our youth,
The sonic metal revolution spoke its truth.
A first album exploded with textures and moods
As the exploration of music was seemingly renewed...
