I think that Maya Angelou was added into the story because they have a similar past. Both were sexually assaulted at a young age, and take a vow of silence. Though she covers up the mirror with Maya Angelou, they're so similar it's as if she sees herself. #tollgvms

Grades are something somewhat important, based on certain situations. When someone is understanding the concept, but isn't doing the work, people think that they aren't understanding. But you could be doing the homework, getting good grades, and people wouldn't get it. #tollgvms

Melinda is silent. She is isolating herself from people and she is not responding to others due to a vow of silence. This is a sign of social isolation or depression. She has anxiety, loss of interest in everything she does, and just general sadness. #tollgvms

I think that it in most situations you could speak out to other people to try and get help over their problems. Because when you choose to speak out, others will listen to you. So I think that both are good, but the one that should be used first in speaking out. #tollgvms
