MySQL 8.4 is now available via Forge managed databases. ⚡️

Forge managed databases allow you to have a fully managed database where don’t need to maintain the underlying server, and can be easily accessed by any of your Laravel VPS servers.

Available via the “Resources” tab on your Forge dashboard.

Currently, push-to-deploy is tied to pushes on the branch you configure for the site and doesn't support triggering deploys based on tags. We intend to expand on this in the future, but I don't have a timeline to share yet.

In the meantime, you could use push-to-deploy for staging, disable it for production but trigger production deployments from CI when you publish a tag or release using Forge's deploy hooks: https://t.co/NlSb55xBfh

@JamieBytebender @taylorotwell If you’re already using Forge with a DO managed DB, the main difference is a seamless management experience directly within Forge. Same infrastructure, but with a more integrated workflow.
