The House of Representatives memorializes chief of staff, Michael Hunter (center) for his years of service. Hunter resigned as of February 14. Former House speaker @RepBenToma returned for the event.
Congratulations to my friend @MichaelEdHunter on his new leadership position with Christian Family Care. A perfect fit.
Michael has been an excellent public servant, and a pleasure to be in the trenches with. A wealth of institutional knowledge, and someone who has been fighting for the cause for years. His fingerprints are on every important conservative policy of the past 2 decades.
Bravo, my friend!
I was blessed today with a visit from some amazing Senators in the House honoring Michael Hunter, Chief of Staff. Thank you Michael, for 25 years of stellar service to our state legislature. Many blessings and prayers!❤️

🚨🚨🚨House Republican Majority Delivers Key Election Reform to Secure and Strengthen Arizona’s Elections
“Arizona voters are tired of waiting days—sometimes weeks—for election results. That’s why House Republicans made fixing this problem a top priority. This bill cuts through the confusion and delays, making sure ballots are counted faster and with greater security. We’re delivering real election reforms that make sense, and I appreciate our Republican members—especially Representatives @realAlexKolodin and @LaurinHendrix—for leading the charge to get this done.” -House Speaker @SteveMontenegro
#HB2703 makes several key changes, including:
✅Setting a firm deadline for early ballots returned at voting locations—7:00 PM on the Friday before Election Day—to ensure prompt processing and reduce late ballot backlogs.
✅Allowing counties to provide on-site tabulation during early voting, including on the Saturday and Monday before Election Day.
✅Ensuring chain-of-custody procedures for in-person early ballots match those used for Election Day ballots.
✅Requiring early mail voters to confirm their address before receiving a ballot—every election cycle in larger counties and every four years in smaller counties—to ensure voter rolls remain accurate and ballots are sent to the correct addresses.
✅Removing bureaucratic hurdles that prevent schools from serving as polling places.

Arizona parents overwhelmingly support school choice! But Governor Hobbs hates ESAs – her proposal GUTS funding and will kick 9,000+ kids out of the ESA program!
We’ve been working hard these past few weeks to get our plan out to our Arizonans.

When it comes to the fiscal mismanagement of our school districts, look no further than the governing board and superintendent. They all need to be fired.
On the Isaac Elementary Governing Board:
-Patricia Jimenez- President. She has served on the Governing Board for 22 years. Her term expires in 2027.
-Maria Guzman- Vice President. She has served over 10 years, term expires in 2029.
- Harry Garewal Jr.- Member. He has served 6 years, term expires in 2027.
-Maria Hernandez- Member. She has served 4 years, term expires in 2029.
-Rudy Santa-Cruz- Member. He has served for 7 years, term expires 2029.
Isaac’s Superintendent & CFO:
-Mario Ventura- Superintendent. He was appointed superintendent in 2012, previously worked as an assistant superintendent and principal.
- The CFO served for at least 7 years.
That’s why I introduced HB 2610. The bill would require, in the event of a district going into receivership, the county superintendent to remove the governing board and the receiver to terminate the superintendent. The removed board members would also be ineligible to run for a governing board in the future.

🚨House Speaker @SteveMontenegro: Governor Hobbs’ Budget Proposal Presents Serious Concerns for Arizonans
“While we share a commitment to improving the lives of Arizonans, the Governor’s budget proposal as presented raises concerns about parental choice, fiscal responsibility, public safety, economic growth, and the undue burdens it places on the backs of taxpayers.
“Our House Republican Majority remains focused on policies that support hardworking families, encourage job creation, and strengthen Arizona’s future.
“I look forward to working together on a serious and responsible budget that addresses these goals, but it’s clear that there is a long way to go.”
