@kleavitt_0 No one is good but God alone. I know of no sinner greater than me. However, judging by publicly available information DJT seems like he is in the bottom quartile for goodness. Too 10% among politicians though. And a great President
Given the democratic candidate for senator in Maine, does this not imply that ever democrat must be kicked out of all Christian congregations? Calling someone a nazi does not make them a nazi. If someone had the publicly expressed opinion that Jews should be killed for being Jews (or blacks or whites or Muslims, etc) they should be publicly condemned and either repent or be excommunicated. Not complicated. But I would be shocked to find even one person expressing that viewpoint in any LCMS church.
@LaLaLisaCooper@DrJordanBCooper@bwolfmueller I think the point is that Harrison gets credit that the LCMS has remained confessional and thus a natural landing place for those being fed good stuff on line. I believe that if we had remained on the kiescnick path the decline would be much worse.
In a grey area a husband should expect his wife to operate according to her conscious. Not sure why my opinion would matter. It is a grey area. If it is not a grey area the she submits to god not me. If we disagree on whether it is a grey area we discuss. If we cannot come to agreement then I I expect my wife to submit to Gods command but not to mine. In 35 plus years of marriage it has never happened. God is usually pretty clear.
I am not sure a husband can ever biblically require submission from his wife. Husband and wife submit to one another. She her will. He his life. Each is called to submit. Neither is called to require the others submission. I am certainly willing to call my wife out if she is failing in her Christian duty. I am equally prepared to be called out if I am failing in my Christian duty. But my default position is to figure out how to serve not to force service.
@SoveyX Pay it off. You will be better positioned in the future to make the right decision regarding future family plans. Find the right guy(lucky man that he will be) and then make plans together. Congrats on the raise.
I have many failing but simp is definitely not one of them. But like any real man I look first to my responsibilities and not my spouses failings. Or at least I try to as I sin in this regard as well. When my spouse fails (very rare in my life) I correct her if necessary but I expect the same back from her and am much more interested in how to correct my failings than hers. This is how a real man behaves. I am sorry for you if you cannot handle that.
@Apstl1111@usuallypregnant Of course it is a sin and divorcing your wife in that situation is also a sin. My sin is not an excuse or permission for my wife to sin. And vice versa.
