Time for the regular posting of my favorite Castlevania scene. I am shocked an appalled by the way the most religious people in my life use religion to justify the most horrendous actions
@_Dvli Reading over the patent, it's not even that strict. There are dozens of ways that someone could make a game with a similar mechanic! The problem is, designing a game with this mechanic is going to take up >40-70% of your resources and that isn't too attractive
@shairondriel There are so many circumstances where Tolkien just doesn't go into every tiny detail on the subject, and people project what THEY imagine a character was doing at the time. Then they're mad that their vision conflicts with what's happening in RoP ๐คทโโ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
@UncannySp1der It was so fun to read these as they were released! Some stories were certainly stronger than others, but I was a big fan of the designs and taking some risks and leaps all the same
@pictor_42@andyrucos@SirSnipeyy The fall of Numenor honestly has the greatest amount of content that the show draws from. The Silmarillion does have some as it overlaps, but TFoN has a lot more! Funny enough, a lot of people who hate on TRoP reference The Silmarillion, but TFoN is what they should be looking at
@RealGDT As someone who is already one of the biggest GDT fans, I would sell my soul to see my favorite book be adapted in this style๐my life would be yours
@JarekDefiler@_middleEarth They simply showed the difference in mindset and leadership of the orcs. Adar sees them more as genuine beings, even if war-focused, and Sauron seeing them as fodder with no purpose other than war and death. It's honestly nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
@BraedenGilliss@TheHobbitLOTR37@LOTR_Daily_ It's when he's describing his vision, prior to The Fellowship being published in 1951, in the letter to Waldman. Last portion of paragraph 5, "The cycles should be linked to a majestic whole, and yet leave scope for other minds and hands, wielding paint and music and drama."
so much discourse is caused by the fact that people dont read. not comics, not books, not articles, not papers, not literary fiction, not non fiction, not academic works, nothing.
@FcKopite_LFC@apostateash@shannie_emm You started comparing animal instincts to humans & now call me mental. Your argument said this: "God made 2 sexualities. There isnโt a gay lion or a gay crocodile."
You argued that God didn't create any other sexuality, any gay animals, yet seem to have changed your argument
@FcKopite_LFC@apostateash@shannie_emm Oh so you went from "God didn't create gay animals" to "I guess God's created thousands of gay animals, oops can't argue that anymore, just don't let it be seen, it's still a sin"?
So is the dogma that animals can sin? Or is it okay for animals because God built them that way?
@FcKopite_LFC@apostateash@shannie_emm Hey just checking in, are you doing okay after learning that animals and especially lions can be gay? Or are we doing our best to forget already?
